Concrete Island

Previously some sort of a military base, this island has been talked about as long as I can remember on the streets of Stockholm. One of those places everyone seems to know about over there, but none has been to. Almost like an urban legend, and if you look at the clip, it’s easy to understand why. If someone told you there’s an island outside of your own coastal hometown, covered in concrete bumps and trannies, poured by the army, would you take their word for it?

Well, thanks to Mika Edin, Eddie Lindqvist and Transition Magazine, we’ve now got a bit more than words to go by with Siaröfort island.
