7 PLY FESTIVAL Athens, Greece, 9.-10.5.

After 3 years in a row the 7 ply project skateboard art and culture festival has been established as the biggest event taking place in Greece showcasing all the street culture elements and especially skateboarding.

This year “Technopolis” (Pireaus 100str. – Athens) will once again host the festival on 8, 9 & 10 of May and people of all ages and genre will have the opportunity to find out what the skateboard culture and lifestyle are about, as well as all the art and music lovers, skateboard fans and of course skaters will have the chance to enjoy the exhibition, the skate facilities, the music and an amazing spectacle on the whole.

An additional aspect of this year’s festival will be the best art work competition. The creations of the participating artists will be examined by a five member committee that will choose the most appealing art piece and will give the opportunity to the creator to collaborate with propaganda rollin co. on 2 limited edition products (one board and one t-shirt) that will be included in the company’s spring-summer 2010 catalogue.
The committee members are:

The three winners of the mini ramp contest and the winner of the best trick contest on a ten stair will share a total prize purse of 3000 euros.
The mini ramp contest will take place on Saturday with registrations starting at 11:00 and the best trick contest will take place on Sunday with registrations starting also at 11:00.

Danny Wainwright will present his artwork on skateboards and do a special demo on the mini ramp on Saturday at 19:00.

Giotis Gordios the first Greek pro skateboarder will share his skills of skateboarding with the kids that are willing to attend the “rolling school” both Saturday and Sunday morning.

The “Vodafone CU 7 ply project” skateboard art and culture festival is the biggest festival in terms of skateboarding and street culture talking place in Greece. The fourth edition of the festival is going to be even bigger than all the previous years and it is going to be an unforgettable experience for everyone who will have the chance to be there.
