Thanks to Vans and Skate Malmö this weekend saw another incredible Vans Park Series event take place at the Kroksbäck Skatepark in Malmö, Sweden.

First place was won, once again, by Floridian Alex Sorgente who’s consistency and competition winning nous saw him take first place for the second year in row. “I’m ecstatic. I can’t believe I won here again. There’s really no limitations at this park, you can go big, long grinds, big airs, everything mixed together makes it really great.”
The winner of the Australia event Tom Schaar was in second place, his grabless backside 360s were certainly a crowd pleaser. Local boy Karl Berglind was unsurprisingly popular with the packed out Malmö crowds, the young ripper’s seamless runs and creative combinations in the semi’s and finals put him in 3rd place, securing his first podium placement in the series so far. “I’m speechless,” Berglind says. “Just being in the final was a win for me. Everyone was fired up and I needed that pressure on me to step it up.”
Honorable mentions needs to go to Oskar Rosenberg, who’s semi final run really was something else. Nobody was skating with the same freedom and creativity in their runs as the young Swede.
