A sunny weekend in Barcelona is a tough act to beat, throw in 15 top AMs, a sound system and a skatepark next to the beach and you’ve got finals of the Nike SB Barcelona AM at Skate Agora.

The finals format was simple – 5 x 3 man, 3 minute jam format heats. With only one run the competitors had no time to play around for anyone if they were hoping to end the day with a pocket full of prize money.
Mathias Torres from Chile passes by Barcelona every few months and has clearly got feel for the local lines, showing smooth flow and smashing an inward heel down the stairs. The standard was high at the Badalona park – Gustavo Ribeiro, a second place finalist from last year had his eye on taking a step up the podium, bringing home a bigspin fs blunt to fakie down the rail but couldn’t hold the rest of his run together cleanly enough to once again take a top spot.
