French skater Sam Partaix is currently sponsored by Vans shoes and apparel, Xsories, Sosh, Antiz, Independent Trucks, Electric Visual, Paris’s Nozbone Skateshop and Savate Socks. Some of his most notable video parts have been in Vans releases, including the Ferit Batir and Tobi Strauss promo (2008), the Roll With Us tour video (2008) and the full-length 1966 (2010).
He opened the 2007 Antiz video Z Movie with a killer section, and turned pro with the company two years later. Since then, he has gone on to feature in more films for Antiz, including The Occasional Antiz Flashback (2011) and the X Years promo (2012), as well as independent releases such as Frame By Frame (2010), Fall Out (2011), Breathless (2012) and Burmese Days (2013).
Born on 16th June 1987 in Paris, Sam grew up in Tours, and started skating at the age of 12. He opened his own skate shop in Tours, Skate Pistols, five years later with the help of his mum, made his video debut in a Skate Pistols film in 2007, and it came as no surprise when Antiz picked him up after just one weekend session.
Now based in Berlin, Sam is an all-terrain destroyer, known for his relentless attack of anything big, quirky and bent – wherever he goes, he skates and destroys the spot. As well as being skilful on his board, Sam is also a talented photographer, who brings hundreds of raw and unadorned images home from his travels around the world.
