Jerome Campbell

Brit Jerome Campbell not only rides for Polar Skate Co. and Carhartt, but is also in the International Pro Team for Paradise Wheels and a European skate ambassador for Converse. Prior to joining Polar, he rode for Blueprint Skateboards, and featured in the company’s full-length Make Friends with the Colour Blue from 2010, edited by Dan Magee.

Other films and clips featuring Jerome include a shared part with Danny Beall in Day in the City 4 from 2005, and a shared part with Neil Smith in Slam City Skate’s first-ever video from 2012, City of Rats. Representing Converse, he also visited Beirut in August 2012 with Pontus Alv, an experience he has described as ‘absolutely incredible and seriously eye opening.’

Jerome was born in the city of Sheffield in the north of England on 5th August 1987. He moved to London to live his dream of a being a professional skateboarder but only managed a year in the big smoke before it all got a bit too much for him, and he moved back to his hometown at the beginning of 2013 to hang out with his family and old mates.

Jerome is a great skater, with one of the best styles around, but it’s not all about skating for him – he has been shooting pictures for almost a decade, and studied photography at university in Leeds. Much of his work features footage from the numerous skate trips of which he has been a part
