Wonderkid Anton Myhrvold rides for the junkyard.se skate team, and is also sponsored by Sweet Skateboards, RVCA and Globe. He’s featured in many videos for Sweet, including the Sweet Vacation tour video (2006), and the full-length films Sweets (2008), Sweet ‘n Sour (2010) and Sour (2011).
2013 was pretty busy for Anton – he had a shared part in the Sweet X Sk8 MAFIA production Stee with Marshall Heath, and was then welcomed onto the SML Wheels team in November with some quality clips. Most recently, he featured in Don’t Sweat The Technique, an exclusive video part from Globe and Kingpin, to accompany a banging interview in the magazine.
Anton is from the small town of Norrköping, close to the Swedish capital Stockholm, where his fist big inspiration growing up was Love Eneroth. He describes his hometown as ‘a beautiful and nice place’, but without any plazas or obvious spots he was forced to turn creative to find good places to go. Now living in Barcelona, he’s spoiled for choice when it comes to finding good spots.
He’s a full speed technician who is basically stanceless – laidback as a person, he just lets his skateboard do the talking. Growing up with his friends, he just skated what was in front of him, mostly flat and curbs, which has meant he has developed incredible manual/ledge skills, but recently he has been learning to skate transitions too.
