etnies introduces the Joslin Pro, the first pro model shoe for skateboarding force of nature Chris Joslin.
The shoe is backed up with a ten minute documentary trying to make sense of how someone can maintain skating at such a consistently gnarly level as Chris has done for the past few years.
I’m pretty sure the definitive answer is ‘he’s probably not human’ but, interplanetary origins or not, there’s no doubt that Joslin has earned seeing his name on a shoe in the traditional way of going for it, hard, at all times. The fact that he’s done so, with a ridiculously prolific output of footage, while raising a kid, is pretty mind blowing.
Enjoy the documentary below featuring esteemed names such as Chris Roberts, Andrew Reynolds, Ty Evans, Atiba Jefferson and more and make sure to keep an eye out for the Joslin Pro when it hits stores – in the meantime, scroll down for proper shoe specs via the press release.
You could also do way worse than heading over to the etnies website to pick yourself up a copy of Album on DVD.
Here’s what etnies have to say about Chris and his new pro model, as you might expect they’re pretty gassed:
“etnies is proud to introduce his first pro model shoe, the Joslin Pro!
The amount of footage that he has produced in four years is unprecedented. The level of skateboarding that he operates at is insurmountable. And the Joslin Pro is part of his legacy.
The Joslin Pro is designed to equip Chris with footwear that is as unstoppable, durable, and as tough as he is. With a hidden toe cap beneath the vamp for durability and an STI Evolution Foam midsole for impact, Chris Joslin’s first pro model shoe is packed full of stealth technology. Down to every tiny detail, the Joslin Pro is everything he wanted in an ideal skate shoe – a clean-cut style that is affordable and durable enough to take a beating.
Chris Joslin is changing the landscape, setting a new standard, and in a league of his own. The Joslin Pro stamps his mark in skateboarding. And this is only the beginning.”
“From the inside out, this shoe LASTS an that’s what I love!” – Chris Joslin
