adidas Skateboarding x Magenta Reveal Second Collaboration

adidas Skateboarding x Magenta Skateboards: the two companies announce their second footwear and apparel collaboration. Since their formation in 2010, Magenta co-founders Vivien Feil and Soy Panday have carved out their own space in skateboarding.

Rooted in skateboarding’s heritage, as well as their Parisian perspective, the adidas Skateboarding x Magenta capsule puts a new lens on football, court, and track staples through original art direction and color palate. Functionality, adaptability, and attention to detail are central to Magenta’s vision and with adidas Skateboarding’s own legacy as the canvas, each piece is a testament to premium design and artistry.

adidas Skateboarding will be releasing Boulevard Magenta – a video that documents adidas Skateboarding Pro team rider Günes Özdogan and Magenta skaters Joffrey Morel, Thomas Vigne, Glen Fox, Vivien Feil, and Soy Panday skating through the streets of Paris, showcasing their artistic and thoughtful approach to skateboarding.

The Matchcourt RX x Magenta shoe is the key piece of the collaboration. This functional staple has been given an artistic reimagining, starting with the vented white perforated leather upper. Classic gold detailing meshes with clean details and touches, provided by Magenta. This grippy, court inspired shoe also features unique, pastel piping on the heel, topped with Magenta “leaf” logo.

A nod to European Football culture and style, the Magenta Jacket is the boldest piece in the capsule, while still maintaining an intrinsically ornate quality. The focus is on premium materials and construction, from the heavyweight piqué fabric and embroidered detailing, to the full zip, stand-up collar, and ribbed cuffs and hem.

For this iteration of the modern sweatpants, adidas Skateboarding and Magenta focused on function and detail. The Magenta Pants are constructed with heavyweight piqué, the drawcord elastic waist and closed elastic cuffs, provide ample mobility and comfort. Adorned with signature Magenta art and fashioned with a secure, button flap back pocket, attention is focused to subtle detail and utility.

To exemplify simplicity, modernity, and heritage, the Magenta Tee takes an artistic spin on a staple. Featuring an aspirational illustration by Magenta’s Soy Panday, this ringer tee uses tonal embroidery, ribbed color contrast neck and cuffs, and a clean fit to convey the collaboration’s spirit. Additionally, the tee’s material itself was provided by partner Better Cotton Initiative, a partner driven to improve cotton farming globally.

Collegiate flair mixed with football heritage, Magenta co-designed the Magenta Jersey as a clean, classic, street staple. The jersey showcases bold simplicity, with its 3-Stripe sleeve branding, 100% piqué construction, and ribbed cuffs. As homage to their creative relationship, Magenta’s “leaf” adorns the jersey’s front, balanced by the adidas trefoil.

The new adidas Skateboarding x Magenta collection will be available only through specialty retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website starting September 16.
