Journey To The Centre Of The Earth

On a sad note, Friday 18.6.10 was the day of England’s embarrassing 1:1 against Algeria, at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, showcasing really mediocre, boring football by a team of world famous, highly skilled top-players.

On a happy note, that same Friday was the day when Jonathan Peters’ new video “Journey To The Centre Of The Earth” premiered at Sputnik Kino in Berlin-Kreuzberg, bringing to light highly inspiring, really creative skating by a bunch of more or less known highly skilled, underachievers. This follow up of Jo’s last film “Objectif Lune” delivers not only sick parts by Maxim Rosenbauer, Sylvain Togneli, Valeri Rosomako, plus the mandatory friend’s section, all displaying wicked spots getting put to use in a thoughtful manor; furthermore, everything around – from editing to choice of music – does for a very persuading finish, yielding quite the opposite of said three lions-match to football enthusiasts: a crave to go out and session whatever you come across, carried out with a big smile on your face.
