In the past couple of days skaters have found themselves kicked out from the Berlin's two most famous spots, the Neue National Gallery and the Kultur Forum. Up until now, there's been a gentleman's agreement between the skaters and the security - we only skate Mondays and evenings after six o'clock and keep the place clean, they don't hassle us. When the security nevertheless gave the visiting skaters the boot this Monday, they told them that unfortunately a skater had broken one of the gallery's floor to ceiling windows, on camera, and left. Those windows cost 10 000 euros, apparently. Accidents happen, and it's hard to judge the kid for not staying to take the rep, the unfortunate out come might be that we see the end of the whole spot. The other reported incident at the Kultur Forum (double set etc) during Bright Trade Show is, however, is just criminally inconsiderate. Don't know the details at the moment, but according to unconfirmed rumours a security guard was attacked by a bunch of skaters and beat up. What happened prior to that is not known.
Last night the Converse crew were indeed kicked out the Neue National Gallery, where as the WeSC lot got to skate Baustelle as per usual. We'll keep updating on the situation as it evolves. If anyone has any details or more information on either of the incidents, any help in letting everyone know is greatly appreciated.
