The skateboardmuseum Berlin will be presenting a show of works by LA artist Harry Blitzstein as part of their Art Of Skateboarding series at Open Walls Gallery Berlin. “First we take Berlin” is Blitzstein’s first solo show in Germany.
In 2009 while on a book-signing tour stop in LA, the two founders of Skateboard Museum passed by the entrance of Blitzstein’s Museum of Art and were magically drawn inside.
Meeting the artist in person and getting a personal guided tour through the exhibition was an amazing experience and established a deep friendship.
There is no limit to how Harry lives his passion for painting – much the same way as a skateboarder knows no limit for skateboarding. As Harry is always open to new canvases, he was happy to paint on several skateboards to become part of THE ART OF SKATEBOARDING art group show hosted by the Skateboard Museum:
“First we take Berlin”
After the Blitzstein show in Berlin we will present the skateboards in LA at the Blitzstein Museum of art.
The Museum is based on Fairfax Avenue in Hollywood. Due to the area’s high density of attractions like well-known galleries, street and skate culture stores like Supreme, Diamond, HUF, etc. the Fairfax neighborhoods is one of the most vibrant city streets in Los Angeles.
First we take Berlin, then we take LA!
