So on Thursday night Louw set up a little show to celebrate their new pro. The night went perfect: great video part, beautiful installation, awesome decks and a lot of friends!
The canarian skater is getting older, despite being just 25… And it is about time to open a new path. After almost two years in LOUW alongside Enrique Lorenzo, Felipe Bartolome, Pol Catena and the recently arrived Carlos Cardeñosa and Juan Virues, it was time for Octavio to become the new professional for Enrique´s brand. A little step that he had to walk and a little step of maturity for the brand as well.
To celebrate this, Octavio has made a series of decks called Creative Meeting in collaboration with photographer Ampi Aristu and has shot a new video part under the eyes of his friends Dani Millan (Edition), Kevin Figueras (filming) and Albin Ramos (music). The three decks synthesize perfectly Octavio´s life at this moment: skateboarding, painting, design and photography.
To Miguel Cidraque he’s an immature veteran:
“Transversal and curious, Octavio Barrera has not stopped watering every one of his piedras. He landed in Barcelona with big plans “on wheels” but became soon seduced by other forms of expression. Just skateboarding? It is not healthy to eat the same every day; it seems he has taken the advice”
