Wooden Nickels Episode 1: Nike SB Europe in L.A – Darkness aka. Fernando Bramsmark, Michael Mackrodt, Hjalte Halberg, Kyron Davis and Denny Pham on another trip to the Golden State.
Wooden Nickels No. 1
Traveling is an amazing part of the job & sometimes you happen to be in the right place, at the right time. I was in LA wrapping up a road trip with Denny Pham, when I got an email from Colin Kennedy asking what my plans were afterwards. Some of the Nike SB guys were heading to the city & they needed a filmer for the first part of the trip. Who can say ‘no’ to some fun in the California sun, amazing Mexican food, and a solid crew to skate with? I had 11 days free before I had to be in New York, so I jumped on the mission. Not a bad working holiday between jobs, right?
When you have amazing spots, great skaters, and an overall good vibe; trips like this can be quite productive. Add that to Fernando Bramsmark and Michi Mackrodt being the main two guys for the duration of my stay, you are going to get footage everywhere & on everything.
Of course most of the footage I filmed on the trip went to various projects over the last year, but luckily I had more than enough footage for the first episode of the new series. I know you are here to see the skating so enough of me rambling on about the trip… Welcome to ‘Wooden Nickels’ episode 1 everyone: Nike SB in Los Angeles.
