3D Innovations / 3D Skateboards
3D Innovations was a skate-clothing brand out of New England, which started in 1990 and was founded by Matt Landon. 3D made quality skate clothing, was one of the first brands to make 5-panel hats and they had an impressive team to boot. Former riders of 3D Innovations were: Robbie Gangemi, Jahmal Williams, Matt Pailes, Mike Graham, Mike Kepper, Ryan Hickey, Matt Reason, AJ Mazzu, Steve Nardone, Vanik Hacobian and others. 3D Innovations went pretty strong during the duration of the nineties but lost steam after the year 2001.
3D Skateboards
In 2013 Brian Anderson quit his long-time sponsor Girl Skateboards to start his own board brand. He called this brand 3D. Brian says he wasn’t aware of 3D innovations, but as he grew up in New England himself this seemed odd. Our friend Anthony did this little interview with Matt at 3D innovations about the whole same name controversy on Jenkem. Essentially 3D Innovations are a clothing brand and 3D is a board brand. The 3D riders are Austyn Gillete, Brian Anderson and Tom Karangelov.
