Iain Borden, Professor of Architecture and Urban Culture at UCL, and author of the book ‘Skateboarding, Space and the City: Architecture and the Body’, has an interesting article up on The Guardian website. Iain discusses the slowly changing mainstream attitudes to skateboarding through the prism of skateparks like Burnside, and organisations such as Long Live Southbank and Skateistan.
