We haven’t had an In Frame section in a while – a good reason to kick off once again!
This time it is talented and adventurous German photog, Friedjof Feye who dug through his archives. What he came back with are these dark room prints from 2009-2014. The developer liquid was applied onto the paper via toothbrush for some very interesting and unique results.

1. Daniel Lebron, backside tailslide, Macba, 2009
In Fall 2009 I took my car across southwest Europe to flee the cold in Germany. Of course I couldn’t do without a stop-over in Barcelona. Macba looked slightly different then but was more or less the same skateboard Mecca it is today. I’d known Dani Lébron from photos in Kingpin from the early 2000’s and his part in “Alaikit” had just made the rounds. Even then Dani, along with Flo Marfaing and Luy Pa Sin, belonged to a group of OG locals at the spot, still do. Funny thing was, even then I thought that these guys have been around pushing it for crazy long. Fast forward seven years and I’m sure they still do.
