Dream skateboards introduce Juliano Guimaraes to their team!
Dream skateboards is a board and wheel brand out of Wuppertal, hometown of none other than “ATAT commander” and one of the gnarliest skaters in Europe, Mr. Mark Frölich. So, sharing the same hometown it’s guaranteed Mark lets his mates know when he spots talent that could fit on their team. In this case it was Juliano Guimaraes that he told Dream founder, Bähr about. Well, and here he is…
Find out a bit more about him through the words of Mark himself:
I met Juliano almost ten years ago in Barcelona. We could barely talk to each other since we both had just moved there and my Spanish skills were pretty much non-existent, and it was a similar story with his English skills…
But somehow we clicked regardless, became friends and started to go on sessions together. I think we were both super exited about being in Barcelona at that time – being able to skate all these great spots everyday and just trying to push ourselves quite a lot. Juliano was really good back then already – I remember him doing gnarly tricks with a very solid and natural style. Plus he used to skate really shitty material which kinda made it even more impressive.
Everything was going pretty smooth actually – he was skating a lot, filming for different video-projects, shooting photos, and going on trips and contests as well at times which led to him having pretty decent video parts in Puzzle-video mag (2009) and “A Place for Everybody” (independent skate-video 2010). It was all going well, until Juliano suffered a knee-injury a couple years back.
He had to go back to his native Brasil – back home to get surgery and rehab over there.
Unluckily, his bad knee kept him off the board for a good while and when he finally could start to skate again he had to do it with patience – going little by little, since his knee would still feel a bit fragile and weak. Anyhow, he decided to come back to Barcelona and push his skateboarding once again – yet knowing that it might be a bit more difficult this time around. I’m very happy for him to see he’s killing it again on his board, that he got back to his old level and that he got the chance to live this life once again over here – only this time with the support of his wife and their son. I’m stoked to see him working on different projects again which is why I put him in touch with Bähr (owner and founder of Dream skateboards and wheels). I told Bähr about Juliano and he remembered right away who he was. He remembered his video-parts from before and after talking about everything for a little while it was clear that Juliano could be a great addition to the team.
After stumbling over a couple language barriers the two of them teamed up which is why we can present to you this welcome part, so welcome to the “Dream-wheels-team”, Juliano. What is missing now is a little trip together to Wuppertal (Germany) , to the “Dream” headquarters and my old hometown… told you Juliano: Sooner or later you have to come visit!
Juliano skates for Dc Shoes, Rufus Sk8shop, 4m, 3hr floor, Official and Dream skateboards.
28 years old from Curitiba, Brazil living in Barca and celebrating Macbalife every day young G’s.
So here we go – curtains up for Mr. Guimaraes introduction to “Dream“!

Some new dream graphics by the way. As Bähr says: “Get ’em while you can – sells quicker than weed (hopefully haha).”
