Obviously, the best thing about skateboarding is to visit new places, experience their cultural difference and skate untouched spots. On almost every visit to Berlin in the past three years I was talking to my good friend and Lites-Trucks team member Giorgi Balkhamishvili how sick it would be to visit his home country of Georgia. And so it went, and the time came when we were all sitting on a four hour flight headed East, with a crew of young, talented and extra motivated rippers. The Georgian spirit was on automatically and right away we were fully into our mission!

Exiting the the airport immediately sucked us in. You only get 100% of local culture if you are seriously ready to shut down your brian and embrace the fact that things are not going to happen the way your regaled middle European mind may want to have it. You gotta be on that adventurous mode and leave the day planning to some degree up to coincidence. Long story short, let's follow their national lifestyle as wild as it gets… sticking to this motto we soon found ourselves trying to cram a mountain of luggage into a mid 80's and quite demolished Volkswagen model, modified in diy manner, equipped with wooden benches and paper glued windows. And off onto the smoggy highway into Tbillisi, the Georgian capital we went.

Being able to really visit someone's home, even stay in his house gives you the perspective you need to feel as I mentioned above. Far away from sim cards and wifi connection we had Georgian dinners with the freshly homemade wine served by Giorgi's grand parents. Every new topic of conversation would have started with an extra toast before zipping another shot of this fresh, tongue loosening juice. You right away experienced the best familiar vibe ever, and glasses later all of our boys fell asleep; that same feeling every night, dreaming about the next days of skating.

And those days were truly amazing. Tbilisi and Batumi can offer spots for days and if you would go more to suburb areas you would find a ton more. Georgia is a very nice, familiar country where people treat you has nice as even possible. Nature out there is incredible and the food will truly broaden your scope. I wanna say thanks to everyone, especially Georgi's family for such an impressive time. I guess you'll watch the photos and the clip. They tell more then words ever could!
