This is a “Chinese” ollie (also called crack nollie).
If you’ve tried one before then you know the deal: it’s an easy trick to do mediocrely, a relatively hard one to do well (i.e. get any kind of height from) and is basically impossible to do over stuff, into grinds or to flip your board from.
The reason why we like these fiddly little tricks so much is that to the untrained eye they look like nothing, but to “those who know” they are are just as impressive as any brave handrail stunt. Just try getting your board even a few inches off the ground without popping your nose (or tail) and you’ll understand why we deemed the tricks in this list worthy of their own appreciation post.
