THE CONVERSE CONS BREAKPOINT COLLECTION LAUNCHES WITH AN EXCLUSIVE EUROPEAN SNEAKER PACK
Collaboration With Retailers In Amsterdam, Berlin, London And Paris Collides Urban Creativity With Local Sneaker Cultures
NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. (February 12, 2015) – Today, Converse Inc. announces the launch of the new Converse CONS Breakpoint Collection, an exclusive pack of sneakers created in partnership with four cutting-edge European retailers – Patta in Amsterdam, Solebox in Berlin, Footpatrol in London and Starcow in Paris. The footwear collaboration sees influential stores in iconic European cities offering their individual creative twist to the Converse CONS Breakpoint sneaker, with each creating a silhouette that is inspired by their unique local culture.

Every Converse CONS Breakpoint sneaker in the collection is loaded with carefully balanced premium materials – including nubuck leather, hairy suede, rip-stop nylon and heavy cotton twill – with each store adding their own subtle flavors through color blocking, outsole finishes and textural juxtaposition. All of the designs feature the iconic Star Chevron mark, a mix of tonal and contrast laces, partner logos on the heel tabs and sockliners, as well as lightweight cushioning for added comfort.
The limited edition collection is also celebrated in the Converse CONS Breakpoint Zine. Available at the partner stores, the Breakpoint Zine is a visual representation of the different creative urban cultures that inspired this collaboration. Patta, Solebox, Footpatrol and Starcow each curated 20 pages of inspirational artwork, with submissions from local artists, musicians, filmmakers and photographers such as Marwan Kenzari (Amsterdam), Han Sole (Berlin), Bob Motown (London) and Ilk (Paris).
